Using Secure Print | Ricoh Streamline NX Secure Print | SLNX Secure Print Follow
Ricoh Streamline NX Secure Print allows you to print to a single queue (e.g., SLNX Secure Print) and then release the print job – using your door access card – from any Ricoh printer configured with Streamline.
Prerequisites:
- Register your access card on any Ricoh printer that has the proximity card reader on it. This is a one-time process that will allow you to release jobs on any of the printers going forward.
- Ricoh Streamline NX PC Client must be installed on your computer. This will be pushed out to all PD computers. Once installed, you will see a new printer named SLNX Secure Print.
Card Registration Instructions:
- Go to any Ricoh printer that has a proximity card reader.
- Swipe your card and it should prompt you to log in. Log in using your Windows credentials. You will only need to do this once and going forward you will be able to log in using your card.
- Click Yes to register your badge/card.
Printing Instructions:
- Change default printer.
- Click Start button.
- Type printers.
- Select Printers & scanners.
- Scroll down until you see Let Windows manage my default printer and ensure that it is unchecked.
- Scroll to SLNX Secure Print and click Manage.
- Click Set as default.
- Print a document as you normally would and ensure SLNX Secure Print is selected. PC being printed from must remain powered on and connected to the network until job has been released.
- Go to a Ricoh printer and scan your card.
- Select Secure Print (on printers with a display). Some models (e.g., those without a display) will automatically print all jobs that you have in your queue once you’ve scanned your card.
- On printers with a display, all your jobs in the queue will be displayed and highlighted. You can choose to print all of them or deselect ones that you do not want to print. Click Start to print selected job(s).
Please note that print jobs will be automatically deleted from the queue if not printed within 7 days.
